Phuket
Phuket is the largest island in Thailand and lies in the Andaman Ocean, approximately 860 kilometres south of Bangkok and 180 km. West of Krabi. The more famous holiday destination lie on the western coast of the island and is linked to the mainland by a bridge at its northern end.
Phuket has about 200,000 inhabitants, most of whom depend on the tourist trade for their living. The island has long been a favoured travel destination for Scandinavian tourists and offers something for everyone; peaceful beaches and hectic and exciting city life.
